WP Legends

A YouTube series with the founders, agency owners, and product builders shaping WordPress. Hosted by Gautam Khorana, produced by Seahawk Media.

About The Show

WP Legends is a YouTube series I host where I sit down with the founders, agency owners, and product builders shaping WordPress. The conversations are not interviews — they are working sessions about how the open web is built, who is building it, and what is changing now.

Each episode runs 30 to 60 minutes. We skip the fluff. The questions get into how guests actually run their businesses, what is working in 2026, and what they would do differently if they were starting today.

The series is produced by Seahawk Media and ships weekly across the year.

What You'll Learn

The recurring themes across the series:

  • How agency founders price, scale, and protect margins in a commoditized market
  • Where WordPress core is going — block themes, the site editor, WordPress 7, AI features
  • What product builders learn shipping plugins to millions of users
  • The honest economics of running a WordPress hosting company in 2026
  • How AI is reshaping content production, support workflows, and developer tooling
  • What works for SEO and AEO inside the WordPress ecosystem right now
  • Career paths through the open-source WordPress community

If you build with WordPress, sell to WordPress users, or maintain WordPress sites at scale, the show is built for you.

Why Subscribe

Three reasons:

  • You will hear unfiltered takes from people who are usually careful in public — the format encourages honesty about what is actually working
  • You get one hour with someone who has shipped at scale and would otherwise charge for the conversation
  • You will see WordPress through founder, agency, and product lenses — the three perspectives that determine where the platform is going

If you only subscribe to one WordPress show, this should probably be it.

Topics Covered

The series spans the technical and operational stack of running on WordPress:

  • WordPress hosting and infrastructure — Kinsta, WP Engine, Cloudways, Rocket.net, edge deployment
  • Headless WordPress — WPGraphQL, Faust.js, Next.js, Astro, SvelteKit
  • WordPress agency operations — pricing, hiring, retention, niche selection
  • WordPress products — plugin distribution, freemium economics, support scaling
  • Performance and Core Web Vitals — LCP, INP, CLS at scale
  • SEO, AEO, and GEO — what works inside WordPress for AI search visibility
  • Migrations — Sitecore, Drupal, Typo3, AEM into WordPress
  • AI in WordPress — block-level AI features, content production pipelines, developer tooling
  • Community and contribution — how WordPress core gets built, contributor paths

Behind The Scenes

The show is produced lean. One host, one camera, no studio. Most episodes are recorded remote — guests are scattered across timezones, and we treat the format like a working video call rather than a polished broadcast. The audio gets a careful pass before publish, the visuals stay raw.

Editing is light by design. The point is the conversation, not the production.

Get Involved

Three ways to engage with the series:

  • Subscribe on YouTube to get every episode the day it drops
  • Suggest a guest — if you know a WordPress founder or product builder whose story should be on the show, tell us
  • Sponsor an episode — for product companies who want to reach the WordPress agency and operator audience, episode sponsorship is available through Seahawk Media
